At the IEP Summit Australia 2025 in Sydney earlier this month, the IEP was delighted to welcome Alex Stephany, Founder and CEO of Beam, who travelled from the UK to share his insights on the future of artificial intelligence in employability.

IEP global partner, Beam, is a leading technology provider for the employability and welfare sector, known for developing tools that reduce administrative burden and enable frontline professionals to focus on what matters most — changing lives. Their flagship product, Magic Notes, uses AI to record, transcribe, and summarise discussions instantly, helping practitioners save time and improve the quality of their interactions with participants.

Alex’s contribution at the Summit reflected Beam’s commitment to innovation that is both responsible and practical, designed to empower the people delivering employment support every day.

Scott Parkin FIEP, Group CEO of the IEP, said:

“We were delighted to have Alex join us in Sydney. His perspective on responsible AI and technology’s role in supporting frontline delivery was both insightful and inspiring. Beam’s work demonstrates how innovation, when done with purpose, can strengthen the impact of employability professionals worldwide.”

Beam recently joined the IEP as a Global Partner, reflecting a shared commitment to improving outcomes for employability professionals and the communities they serve.
