Greenfreight and CVGT Employment Wodonga’s partnership is not only solving a transport and logistics skills shortage it’s also driving employment success for CVGT Employment participants.
Since 2023, CVGT Employment’s collaboration with Greenfreight Wodonga has been a journey of mutual growth and shared values.
“We’ve witnessed firsthand the positive impact they’ve had on our participants, especially those navigating mental health challenges,” says Jodie Ward, Senior Business Development Consultant at CVGT Employment Wodonga.
Identifying a shortage of skills and staff in transport and logistics, CVGT Employment Wodonga collaborated with Greenfreight to pinpoint specific job needs and explore the benefits of diversifying their workforce.
“By working with CVGT Employment we’ve been able to give people a start in the industry that never considered working in the transport and logistics industry before,” saysDom Caldwell, Line Haul Manager for Greenfreight.
“Greenfreight’s commitment to inclusivity is evident through the variety of job placements we’ve facilitated together. From Heavy Rigid and Heavy Combination drivers to Yard Hands,Trades Assistants, Trainee Allocators and Administration Assistants, the spectrum of roles filled is as diverse as the individuals who occupy them,” says Jodie.
