One of IEP Australia’s newest Fellows wants to use the role to share his insights around the challenges and opportunities for First Nations people in the employment sector.

Jayson Sandiford from Perth-based WISE Aboriginal Corporation is a proud Wiradjuri man and a driven employability professional, with a strong commitment to economic and workforce development in regional and remote Australia — particularly within First Nations communities.

With direct involvement in employment services since 2008, Jayson brings extensive experience across Job Network/Job Services Australia (JN/JSA), Disability Employment Services (DES), Remote Employment Programs (CDEP/RJCP), and Registered and Group Training Organisations.

Currently serving as Director of First Nations Partnerships and Strategy at Asuria, Jayson leads strategic engagement efforts with key stakeholders across regional and remote areas. He is also the Deputy Chairperson of WISE, which is a First Nations-led organisation at the forefront of workforce development and planning support across the employment services sector.

“I joined the Institute of Employability Professionals to further expand my skills and knowledge,” he says.

“I also want to contribute my insights into the unique challenges and opportunities facing First Nations communities through collaboration with a growing network of industry professionals.”

We are thrilled to have Jayson bringing his perspective and experience to our network of employability leaders around Australia.
