We’re excited to announce our third keynote speaker for the upcoming IEP Summit Australia is Professor Leisa Sargent who will speak about the changing nature of organisational leadership.
Professor Sargent is the Dean of the University of Sydney Business School, where she leads strategic initiatives to enhance the school’s global impact in business education and research.
An internationally recognised scholar in organisational behaviour, she has a deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, which she integrates into the school’s programs and partnerships. Under her leadership, the Business School has launched the Australian Centre for Gender Equality and Inclusion @ Work, a new tech focused MBA and has strengthened industry ties through the establishment of a new Board of Advice comprising leaders from various sectors. Prior to her current role, Professor Sargent held senior academic positions at UNSW Business School, including Senior Deputy Dean and Co-Deputy Vice-Chancellor Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
She joins our already impressive speaker line-up:
- Professor Barney Glover AO, Commissioner of Jobs and Skills Australia and a distinguished academic leader, with significant experience in developing strong relationships with the vocational education sector. Former Vice-Chancellor of Western Sydney University, Professor Glover is well respected for his engagement with First Nations Australians and disadvantaged communities.
- Patrick Kidd OBE OAM, CEO of the Future Skills Organisation, with a career spanning military leadership, digital skills transformation, and inclusive initiatives like the Invictus Games Sydney 2018. Patrick (known as ‘PK’) has a diverse background in skills training, stakeholder management and leading complex change initiatives.
The IEP Summit Australia is taking place at a crucial time for the sector, as we prepare for Inclusive Employment Australia and major changes in commissioning. It’s the place to connect with peers and changemakers, explore and discuss the future of employment services, share insights, best practice, and innovation and be part of shaping what comes next.
