IEP International

The Institute of Employability Professionals (IEP) is a not-for-profit, purpose-driven, values-based organisation that builds solid foundations to positively impact society. We believe the people who need the most support, need the best support, and that is why our vision for the global employability profession is to help employability professionals everywhere be the best they can be.

We are pioneers in advancing the employability sector on a global scale, delivering significant value to our international members. With tailored strategies and initiatives in each region we serve, we are focused on improving quality, raising professional standards and delivering mission-critical learning to help build, develop and support a thriving, energetic, creative community of skilled and knowledgeable professionals in the global employability profession.

IEP United Kingdom

The IEP was founded in the UK in 2011 as the professional home for the Employability sector. Established with a clear mission—to support those who support others into work—IEP UK has played a pivotal role in building the foundations of professional recognition, high-quality practice, and continuous development for employability practitioners.

We’ve developed a strong and growing community of professionals, employers, and sector partners committed to driving progress and quality in employment support services.

From the early introduction of sector-recognised learning pathways and the development of our globally adopted Employability Essentials program the UK continues to lead innovation and set standards for practitioner development.

IEP UK also launched the Centre for Employability Excellence and the Quality Improvement Framework (QIF)—initiatives now being shared across our international community to encourage consistent, high-quality delivery worldwide.

With thousands of professionals across the UK engaged in our work, and a growing body of Fellows and Members contributing to policy, learning, and leadership, IEP UK remains at the heart of our global ambition: to build a strong, skilled, and supported Employability profession for the future.

Centre for Employability Excellence

The aim of the Centre for Employability Excellence is to provide a comprehensive platform for research and good practice, open to all sectors of the employability profession.

A simple resource that will help us all to work together, encourage open discussion, share insights, and develop the quality of employability services globally.

Quality Improvement Framework

Developed by the sector, for the sector, the QIF represents a significant milestone in our mission to enhance quality standards and practices within the global sector.

This unique framework is designed to offer a comprehensive blueprint of effective practices across various organisational contexts. Grounded in independent research and evidence, the QIF is not intended to replace existing quality assurance mechanisms but rather complement them, with a specific focus on elevating employability services.

The IEP offer a wide range of specialist learning opportunities for sector professionals.

Our suite of regularly updated, extensive training programs and qualifications provide essential learning to support employability professionals to be the best they can be and deliver the right support to participants to help them into sustainable employment.
