EP Cert IV

28/01/2026

During 2025, IEP Australia and Asuria Australia announced a partnership to deliver a new and innovative CHC41115 Certificate IV in Employment Services.

The course is designed to equip frontline practitioners with the tools they need to effectively support participants, address barriers to employment and drive higher engagement and outcomes.

We have been thrilled with the response to the course so far, with a diverse range of learners enjoying the benefits of this trade training for our sector.

“Engagement has been strong, and learners are becoming more confident applying the concepts to real-world employment services scenarios,” Asuria RTO Operations Manager Heather Gasper says.

“There’s been a noticeable shift from theory-focused discussion to more practical, reflective conversations. For example, several learners have shared that they’re now consciously changing how they open appointments with participants, using techniques from the sessions to build rapport and trust more effectively from the first few minutes.”

Supportive and Collaborative Learning

And these changes are being made by learners with a mix of experience and curiosity.

“Many learners are highly motivated, open to feedback and keen to challenge their own practice,” Heather says.

“There’s a strong willingness to share experiences from the field, which has helped create a supportive and collaborative learning environment. It’s been great to hear learners talk through real participant situations and openly reflect on what they might do differently after each session.”

A common piece of feedback, Heather says, has been how relevant and practical the training feels to day-to-day work.

“Learners have particularly valued the real-life examples, open discussions, and reflective activities. One learner recently shared that they applied a strengths-based approach from the training in a challenging appointment and noticed the participant became more engaged and willing to explore employment options by the end of the session.”

Person-Centred Services

As 2026 begins, we are pleased to see learners building confidence as they develop in their roles.

Many are already embedding the learning into their everyday practice, whether that’s adjusting how they set goals with participants, having more meaningful conversations, or approaching challenging situations with greater confidence,” she says.

“The program continues to support learners to deliver high-quality, person-centred services in an evolving employment services landscape.”
