We are delighted to announce that NSTA Tasmania has officially joined the Institute of Employability Professionals as a Capability Partner.
NSTA Tasmania delivers practical, nationally recognised training across first aid, security, workplace safety and compliance, working across Hobart, Launceston and the North West Coast to train people for the jobs local employers are actually trying to fill. But for NSTA Tasmania, training is only part of the job. The organisation is focused on helping people leave with the skills and confidence to step into the workplace and contribute from day one.
“Certificate ready is not enough. Tasmania needs workforce ready,” said Kevin Moffat, General Manager of NSTA Tasmania.
That idea shapes everything the organisation does. NSTA Tasmania believes too many registered training organisations stop once the certificate is issued. Meeting compliance requirements matters, but it shouldn’t be the finish line. The real goal, in NSTA Tasmania’s view, is helping people move from being compliant on paper to being genuinely ready for work, giving employers people they can retain, not just recruit.
When people are properly prepared for the workplace, everyone benefits. Individuals have a better chance of building a lasting career, employers keep good people for longer, and Tasmania has a better chance of holding on to the talent it invests in, instead of watching it leave for further afield.
‘A Critical Step’
“Partnering with the Institute of Employability Professionals is a distinct privilege and a critical step in our ongoing commitment to elevating workforce excellence,” NSTA Tasmania said on LinkedIn.
“We are taking this opportunity to champion the employability conversation right here in Tasmania. NSTA Tasmania is firmly positioning itself as a workforce capability partner equipped to deliver practical, high-quality training that delivers workplace readiness and ultimately long-term workforce retention for our state.”
NSTA Tasmania also acknowledged the welcome it received from IEP Australia’s Karin Ridgeway FIEP and Ellie Fuller MIEP, noting that it underscored a clear focus on shared value, capability building and active collaboration.
“We look forward to integrating with the IEP network, sharing our insights and elevating the standard of employability practice across the state.”
