Next week, Australia’s employability community comes together in the Melbourne Docklands, and there’s still a chance to join us the day before.
IEP Summit Australia 2026 is officially sold out. With just days to go, the IEP team is thrilled by the response to this year’s anti-conference in Melbourne, now in its third year, and can’t wait to welcome everyone to The Promenade Docklands on Thursday 12 November.
This year’s theme, Thriving Through Change – Talent, Technology, and the Future Workforce, speaks to the questions facing everyone in employability, recruitment and workforce development. Demographer and best-selling author Bernard Salt AM will open the day with a look at the changing face of the Australian candidate. Sessions follow on the evolving nature of recruitment, what happens when organisations have no dedicated HR function, and a hands-on workshop built on IEP’s skills gaps research, which will feed directly into IEP’s work on core competencies for the profession. The day closes with a networking dinner and the Fellow of the Year toast.
It’s a packed program, and the IEP team is looking forward to the conversations, debates and connections it will spark. Sponsored by The Busy Group and Beam, the Summit builds on the success of last year’s event and the record-breaking IEP Summit UK earlier in 2026.
Missed out? Two ways to still be part of it
Anyone who didn’t secure a ticket can join the Summit waitlist, as places occasionally become available.
There’s also good news for anyone heading to Melbourne. Tickets are still available for the IEP Connect Melbourne Workshop: Practical AI for Employment and Community Services, held the day before the Summit.
The half-day event runs from 12:00 to 5:00pm on Wednesday 11 November at Community Hub, 912 Collins Street, Docklands. It brings together five AI vendors working in the sector, alongside independent voices on governance, ethics and data. Attendees will see live demonstrations, hear directly from the people building the tools, and leave with a practical framework for deciding what to trial, pilot or partner on first. Speakers include representatives from Beam, Attuniq, ScaleApp, Enterprise Monkey and Connect Different, plus a closing panel on safeguarding AI in employment services.
It’s designed for team leaders, managers and practitioners evaluating AI tools, with no jargon and no sales pitches from the stage. Earlybird tickets are $127 including GST.
To everyone who has secured a Summit seat: thank you, and see you next week.
