October’s IEP Summit Australia brought together a diverse range of people passionate about employability from around our country.

It was a fantastic event, giving professionals from a range of sectors the opportunity to meet and share their expertise.

One of the attendees was Amber Kaiwi, Strategic Partnerships Lead at Everway.

Our cameras caught up with Amber to hear her story, and to discuss why she attended.

“[At Everway] we build neuro-inclusive literacy tools for schools, universities, vocational and workplaces as well,” she told us.

“I think definitely there’s a gap between the intention to have inclusive workplaces and the implementation, still. We know that it’s essential. We know that under compliance we need to have it, and we know that it builds better cultures.

“But the implementation at the moment of systems and making it very human focused and centred is still, I think, where a big gap lies and needs to be bridged, and I think our technology definitely assists very seamlessly in that.

“I think every person in this room is somebody that I would love to connect with professionally, but as well as in terms of the wealth of knowledge that’s just in this room alone is very inspiring.

“And certainly as well, just to find new, fresh perspectives, ideas, and learn from industry professionals.”

If you are a professional looking to connect with employability specialists from around Australia, we will be announcing more details soon about our IEP Connect initiative, taking shape in 2026.

We are also planning for Summit 2026. You can learn more about this event and register your interest in attending here.
