‘Improved Engagement and Confidence’: How the Cert IV in Employment Services Has Changed the Way One Job Coach Works

Ujjwal Dhakal AIEP has been a Job Coach at Asuria Australia in Glenorchy, Tasmania since 2023. He recently completed his CHC41115 Certificate IV in Employment Services and said it has been a great experience personally and professionally.

“The program gave me practical skills that I can apply in my role, especially around professional communication, understanding participant needs and building strong rapport with my clients,” Ujjwal said.

“In my day-to-day work, I support participants to become job ready and help them to move forward to achieve sustainable employment, and what I have learned through Cert IV has really helped me to do that more effectively.

“I have noticed that I am able to do my daily tasks in a more professional way, providing more structural support, which has led to improved engagement and confidence in the people I work with.

“One thing I really appreciate about this programme was how flexible it was. I was able to do this course alongside my work commitments without getting over drained, and to be honest, the course is challenging itself. But the thing that you learn in the course, if you apply it in your daily work life, is the results improve and the support that the trainer provides made the whole experience much more manageable.

“And finally, for someone who is thinking of signing up for this program, I would definitely recommend it to them and I would tell them to give it a go. You won’t regret your decision. The results are fantastic, after you do this course.”
