Register for IEP Summit Australia 2026

The countdown to IEP Summit Australia 2026 – Thriving Through Change: Talent, Technology and the Future Workforce is on, and we’re thrilled to have Beam as our Headline Technology Sponsor.

Beam recently became the IEP’s Official AI Technology Partner as our two organisations entered their second year of global partnership.

Ahead of the big day in Melbourne on 12 November, we sat down with Joanna Barrack, Senior Partnerships Lead, Australia, at Beam, to talk about what the partnership means, why Beam is backing the day, and what she hopes to take away from it.

What does the partnership with IEP mean to Beam?

“A year as an IEP Global Partner showed us how much of the sector’s thinking happens through the IEP. Not the headline announcements, but the conversations at member events about what is actually working and what isn’t.

That has shaped how we think about supporting employment advisers, and what technology should be doing for them.

We recently became the IEP’s Official AI Technology Partner, and we’re hoping to keep having those conversations, in more places and with more people.”

Why has Beam sponsored the Summit Australia?

“Employment services in Australia are going through a period of real change, and the decisions being made now will shape how advisers work for years. Technology is a big part of those decisions, and it shouldn’t be decided without the people who will use it every day.

The Summit is one of the few places that brings those people together at the scale this moment needs. Backing it is a straightforward way for us to support that.”

What value does the Summit bring to the sector?

“The IEP calls it an anti-conference, and that is the right description. People challenge each other rather than sitting through slides, so what comes out of the day is closer to the truth than a run of presentations would be.”

What excites you most about this year’s Summit?

“Hearing more about where the Australian sector is up to. The pressures look similar to the UK from a distance, but the systems are built very differently, and the detail is where the useful learning sits.

We’re looking forward to sharing what we’re seeing with UK providers too, and to finding out what does and doesn’t translate.”

Now in its third year, IEP Summit Australia is IEP’s flagship “anti-conference” – a future-focused day built around real conversations, actionable insights, and connections that change how you work, rather than a lecture-hall event where you watch slides scroll past.

Seats for this year’s Summit are filling fast. IEP Members and Fellows receive a special discount.
