Register for IEP Summit Australia 2026
Thursday 12 November 2026 | The Promenade Docklands, Melbourne
One day. New ideas. New connections. Real impact for your practice, your participants and your organisation.
IEP Summit Australia 2026 – Thriving Through Change: Talent, Technology and the Future Workforce is just around the corner, and as an IEP Member or Fellow you get a significant discount on tickets.
Picture a full day of real conversations with sector leaders, set against the panoramic sweep of Victoria Harbour and the Melbourne skyline at The Promenade Docklands, with food and beverages throughout the day and well into the night.
This isn’t a lecture hall. The Summit is an “anti-conference” for a reason, with real, engaging dialogue and connection instead of a series of presentations to sit through. Now in its third year, it follows the success of IEP Summit Australia 2025 and the record-breaking IEP Summit UK 2026.
Hear
Sponsored by The Busy Group and Beam, you’ll hear from industry leaders, employers, innovators and international experts:
- Bernard Salt AM (The Demographics Group) opens the day on Australia’s shifting workforce and the future of work. He’ll be covering jobs on the rise, the impact of AI, WFH, the coming of the 4-day week and mental health in the workforce.
- Julie Watkins (Chief People Officer, UniSuper) and Jodie Haydon (Chief People Officer, Regis Aged Care) on the changing face of recruitment.
- Rasmus Rossi FIEP (Arenakoncernen), a Swedish entrepreneur and education innovator, challenging conventional HR thinking from Sweden.
- Beth Bundy (Chief People Officer, Swinburne University) on skills, competencies and professionalisation.
Learn
Learn from real-world discussions on workforce trends, AI, recruitment, skills and professional practice. Each main session is followed by an IEP Fellows Panel, so there’s room to ask questions, challenge ideas and hear different perspectives.
Tamika Biddlecombe FIEP of the Pathways and Advocacy Network, who has attended both the UK and Australia Summits, says the engagement was what stood out most from the 2025 Australia Summit. Her advice to anyone attending: “Expect to be part of the conversation, not just an audience.”
Grow
Grow through practical insights, fresh perspectives and opportunities to shape the future of employability. In a hands-on session with Beth Bundy, built on IEP’s latest skills gaps research, your input directly shapes ongoing work defining core competencies for the profession. It’s a genuine say in the profession’s direction.
You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of the forces reshaping employability, recruitment and workforce participation, plus fresh ideas you can apply in your own organisation.
Connect
Connect face-to-face with sector leaders, Fellows and peers from across Australia, New Zealand and beyond, all day and through the evening. The Summit also brings an international view. Rasmus Rossi is looking forward to “comparing the Australian experience with what we are seeing in Sweden, the Nordic countries and Europe more broadly”.
Tamika describes the professional network she has built through the Summits as one she “regularly draws upon”.
The Night Doesn’t Stop at 5
The day continues with pre-dinner drinks, an all-inclusive Networking Dinner, light entertainment and the Fellow of the Year toast, hosted under Chatham House Rules by a surprise guest.
And you won’t want to miss this mystery dinner speaker, who will help wrap up the day with insight, stories and a laugh.
What Last Year’s Attendees Said
“Really well organised, brilliant deliveries totally relevant for our industry. I would recommend and attend again.”
“Speakers really knew their subjects and came across really positively even when talking about difficult times ahead. I think the level of delivery was spot-on which gave a positive buzz to the whole event.”
