We are delighted to introduce Dr Peter Denison to the IEP Fellowship in Australia.
Peter is an experienced education and executive leader whose career has spanned vocational education and training, organisational leadership, workforce development and industry engagement. He has held senior leadership roles across TAFE NSW and the independent and community education sectors, leading large and diverse education portfolios and significant organisational transformation.
Peter holds a Doctor of Business Administration (honorary), an MBA and a BEd. His contribution to education has been recognised through awards including VET Teacher of the Year and the Quality Teachers Award. At the heart of his leadership is a commitment to developing people, strengthening organisations and ensuring education creates meaningful opportunities for individuals and communities.
“Becoming a Fellow represents both recognition and responsibility,” Peter said.
“For me, Fellowship is an opportunity to contribute what I have learned over many years in education and leadership, while continuing to learn from others who share a commitment to excellence and service.”
An Invitation to Give Back
For Peter, Fellowship is also a chance to contribute to the employability profession’s future.
“I see it not simply as an acknowledgement of what has been achieved, but as an invitation to give back, mentor others and contribute to the future of our profession,” Peter said.
About the IEP Fellowship
Fellows of the IEP are a community of passionate and influential professionals from within the Employability sector. They work to share best practice across the sector, and to support the vision and mission of the IEP.
Fellows are usually expected to have been working in Employability or a related sector for at least seven years, to have participated in or supported activities across the sector, to be prepared to play a role in advancing the sector, and to be committed to Continued Professional Development. Candidates undergo a professional development interview, which is vital to the professional standing of the IEP.
